A sleep study is a simple, painless overnight procedure where brain waves, muscle activity, heart rhythms and other body functions of the patient are monitored by a highly-skilled technologist. An overnight sleep study aids physicians in properly diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Using the latest technology available for sleep studies, data is collected, scored and interpreted by a physician specializing in sleep disorders.
Sleep studies are performed at St. Francis Hospital & Health Services as an outpatient service of the Respiratory Therapy department in partnership with Metropolitan Sleep Services Inc.
