Maryville, Mo. -  St. Francis Preschool & Child Care is hosting their 25th birthday party from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at St. Francis Preschool and Child Care, located at 2112 South Main Street in Maryville.

Children and parents who attend or have attended the child care facility are invited to join the celebration. There will be many fun and educational activities for families to enjoy, including the opportunity for children to decorate their own cupcakes, get their faces painted and make crafts.

St. Francis Preschool & Childcare was opened in August of 1986 based on the community need for more daycare facilities. It was originally opened to provide child care for children ages two through fourteen years of age and has since added an infant program allowing children as young as six weeks to attend.        Since the opening 25 years ago, the daycare facility has modified its building and added more playground equipment in order to create a better environment and experience for the children.

The mission of St. Francis Preschool & Childcare is to meet the needs of the total child – body, mind, and spirit – in an atmosphere of Christian community. The Center strives to provide a caring, safe, healthy and home-like environment which will be stimulating, and organized, yet flexible to meet each child’s needs and abilities. Each child will have the opportunity to enhance their abilities in all areas of development: physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and educational.
