Over 200 patients, fellow physicians, family and friends packed the St. Francis Hospital cafeteria to say thanks and good-bye to Dr. Patrick Harr on Sunday, June 10, in recognition of his retirement.
The reception included presentations by Representative Mike Thomson with a resolution honoring Dr. Harr’s many years of services and dedication, Mayor Glenn Jonagan with a proclamation naming June 10, 2012 as Dr. Patrick Harr Day in the City of Maryville, and hospital President Gray Cox who conveyed a resolution from the state senate extended by Senator Brad Lager. A letter of congratulations from Congressman Sam Graves was also on display.
Dr. Harr was joined at the event by wife Teri, daughter Traci, son-in-law Mark Kennedy, and mother Helen Harr. During a short address, Dr. Harr also recognized his long-time nurse Sharon Adwell.
It was a sad day on June 18 as Dr. Harr conducted his final day of caring for patients at St. Francis. Dr. Harr is making his retirement home at Table Rock Lake but plans to come back to Maryville for Bearcat and Spoofhound games and other events.
